1. Getting to Jeju Island (International Access)

Jeju Island is a “Special Self-Governing Province” in Korea, offering Visa-Free Entry for most nationalities (for up to 30 days). To maximize this benefit and avoid the complexity of a Korean Visa (K-ETA/Standard Visa), we highly recommend using Direct International Flights or Transit via China.

Route A: Direct Flight to Jeju (Recommended)

  • Best for: Travelers from countries requiring a Korean Visa or those seeking the fastest route.
  • Main Hubs: Direct flights are available from Shanghai (PVG), Beijing (PEK), Tokyo (NRT/HND), Osaka (KIX), Hong Kong (HKG), Taipei (TPE), and Singapore (SIN).
  • Advantage: You can skip the Incheon-Gimpo transfer and clear immigration directly at Jeju International Airport without a visa (for eligible countries).

Route B: Transit via Incheon/Gimpo (Seoul)

  • Step 1: Arrive at Incheon International Airport (ICN).
  • Step 2: Transfer to Gimpo Airport (GMP) via Airport Railroad (AREX) or Limousine Bus (Approx. 60 min).
  • Step 3: Take a domestic flight to Jeju (Approx. 65 min).
  • Note: Entering via Incheon requires a valid Korean Visa or K-ETA, even if your final destination is Jeju.

 

2. From Jeju Airport to Jeju Shinhwa World

Jeju Shinhwa World is located in the southwestern part of the island (Andeok-myeon).

Option 1: Express Bus (Public Transport)

  • Bus Number: No. 151 (Red Express Bus)
  • Boarding Point: Gate 4, 1st Floor (Arrivals).
  • Drop-off Point: Jeju Shinhwa World Resort (Direct stop).
  • Travel Time: Approx. 50–60 minutes.
  • Interval: Every 30–40 minutes.
  • Fare: Approx. 3,000 KRW (Payable by T-money card or Credit Card with touch-pay).

Option 2: Taxi

  • Boarding Point: Follow the “Taxi” signs to the taxi stand across the street from Gate 3.
    • Short-distance and Long-distance (Seogwipo) stands are separate; follow the Seogwipo/Andeok lane.
  • Travel Time: Approx. 40 minutes.
  • Fare: Approx. 35,000 – 45,000 KRW (May vary by traffic and time).
  • Tip: Show the address “제주 신화월드 (Jeju Shinhwa World)” to the driver. Most taxis accept international credit cards (Visa/Master).
