Development of Advanced Plate Forging Technology

Prof. Wang has conducted extensive research in the field of metal forming, with particular emphasis on plate forging and tribology. He has developed innovative plate forging processes, including a shear forging method that significantly reduces tool pressure and forming load. Through systematic experimental investigations, he established comprehensive friction laws applicable to dry friction, liquid lubrication, and solid lubricant coatings. These friction models enable highly accurate finite element analyses over a wide range of contact pressures and have contributed significantly to the advancement of plate forging technology and metal forming processes.
